In 1953 Blancpain launched the original, and now legendary, Fifty Fathoms  divers watch. Developed for the Frogmen of the French navy and favored by none other than Jacques Cousteau himself. This modern descendant is a fitting tribute to its predecessor, and manages to bring it up to date in the most respectful manner. Housing the Blancpain cal.1315 automatic movement with five day power reserve and water resistant to 300m (164 fathoms!).
