In 1973 The Louis Cartier Collection was released, an important collection consisting of 12 models taking inspiration from historic Cartier designs. This present yellow gold Tank Louis ref. 78086 is considered the most coveted of the dozen. 

With very few vintage Tank Louis's estimated to still retain their Certificate of Origin, we are delighted to offer this full set example, complete with its red Cartier box, instruction manual, and July 1981 Cartier Guarantee.

The 23.4mm x 30.4mm yellow gold tank case, with white enamel dial, is made even more special thanks to its 'Paris' signature at 6, a little touch reserved for watches exclusively sold from the Paris and London boutiques during this period. A classic Cartier aesthetic displaying black Roman numerals with hidden signature (only seen on later mark 3 dials), blue sword hands and a blue sapphire set beaded crown. Powered by the Hand-Wound JLC base calibre 818/2, fitted to a new Cartier tan alligator strap and secured by its original gold pin buckle.
