Between 1998 - 2008 Cartier produced the limited series "Collection Privée", a celebration of their historically significant designs, dubbed 'the collectors collection' by the brand themselves. One of the most desirable of all the CPCP releases is this large (34mm x 43mm) rose gold Tortue model (ref. 2498 E) with silver guilloché "Cartier Paris" dial. The mechanical manually wound 437MC calibre movement (specially created for this model) is visible through the sapphire crystal case back.
