Cartier
Tortue "Platinum - CPCP"
"Collection Privée"
With record auction prices being achieved for rare Cartier models, (a Crash sold in 2020 for $225,000 and a yellow gold 'Pebble Baseball' sold this year for £318,000) it is very obvious that important Cartier are seriously on the move...
Thought to be produced in fewer than 150 pieces, this gentleman's Platinum Cartier Tortue, identified by its highly coveted CPCP dial (Collection Priveé Cartier Paris) is rather special.
It features an elegant silver engine-turned dial with its 'Cartier Paris' in their classic typeface, with Roman numeral hour markers & blued steel "Breguet" hands. Powering this important Cartier is their hand-engraved manually-wound priveé calibre 437 MC, beautifully engraved with the "CC" monogram. Fitted to a black alligator Cartier strap, with 18ct white gold folding clasp. Presented complete with its red leather Cartier box, booklets & warranty dated September 2009 & Cartier service papers dated Aug. 2021.
Just returned from a full service at Cartier & under their international warranty to Aug. 2023.
