IWC
Mark XV "Automatic"
Box & Papers
Worthy successor to IWC's archetypal pilot's watches, the Mark X, 11, & XII, the 'Mark XV' was produced for only six years - from 1999 to 2005.
The civilian Pilot's watch of choice, at 38mm the MK XV was bigger than its predecessor the MK XVII, and for the first time was powered by an IWC automatic movement (the caliber 37524). Features include a 40hr power reserve and hacking seconds for precision setting. This excellent example (retailed in Dec 2003) is accompanied by its IWC travel box, instruction booklets and IWC certificate. Fitted to its black IWC calf strap, and secured by the steel IWC deployant clasp.
Designed for simple, no-nonsense legibility, the watch has luminous hour and minute hands, slender white seconds, and a clear date display, all set against a matt black dial.
