Omega
Speedmaster Ed White
105.003-65 - Tropical
Here's something you seldom see, a rare 1965 'Ed White' Speedmaster, with a gorgeous tropical dial. There are only a handful Speedy EW's for sale around the world in similar condition, and even fewer with beautifully aged tropical dial.
This straight lugs pre-moon Speedy (ref. ST 105.003-65) echoes the exact model worn by decorated astronaut Ed White on the Gemini IV mission. It features an unrestored steel case, with thick chamfers, and an untouched stepped dial, which has developed a beautiful chocolatey tropical tone around the outer chapter-ring. Pre NASA applied metal Omega logo, perfectly matching patina on the tritium hands & hour markers, and a cute little Ω on the Hesalite plexiglas. Powered by Omega's hand-wound calibre 321 movement, and fitted to its original steel folded with part expanding link '1039' bracelet.
