One of the rarest Speedmaster variations, this 105.012-66CB is almost identical to the watches worn on the 1969 Moon Landing but for one key detail. For a round 18 months, Omega used an extra case maker that produced a distinctive flat top to the lugs, often, this little detail is lost in wear and polishes over the years, but this particular example has never, ever, been polished and retains that key, razor sharp edge shown in the third photo! The beautifully aged stepped dial (with Professional inscription and applied metal logo) is in pristine condition and the beautiful yellow lume is matched by original hands with correct spear tipped Chrono recorder. Still retaining its chipped-but-totally-correct dot over 90 (DON) bezel and powered by the, now legendary, manual wind 321 calibre movement, this is an important piece of horological history, and we have never seen one in truely unpolished condition like this!
