Produced from 2008–2019, this contemporary self-winding Calatrava ref. 5296G-010 is from the final year of production and reinterprets the iconic ref. 96 to better suit today’s needs. A perfectly proportioned 38mm slim white gold case, elegant silver opaline dial, decorated with faceted applied white gold batons, beaded minute markers, and a clear date aperture at 3. A simple typeface displays the bold “Patek Philippe Geneve” logo at 12. To showcase the innovation of the modern Calatrava, it features a sapphire exhibition caseback, affording a view of Patek’s in-house self-winding calibre 324 S C, with 21ct yellow gold oscillating weight, Gyromax balance, and Spiromax hairspring. Watertight to 3 bar. Fitted to a new dark blue alligator Patek strap, secured by its original white gold Patek pin buckle.
