The sigma dial on this beautiful Patek Ellipse has slowly aged to a rich "Tropical" purple that contrasts the 18ct yellow gold case perfectly! Remarkably well preserved, the case looks to have seen almost no wear over the last 42 years and still retains a sharp engraving on the case back, telling us the watch was originally presented as a 20 year service award to F. Bielinski who started at the famous Schlumberger company in May 1956. Fitted to a brand new black alligator strap with yellow gold 'Ellipse' pin buckle and complete with its original certificate (that corroborates the dates on the engraving perfectly!), Patek service history from 1984 and Patek Philippe pouch.
