The tachymeter bezel on the outside of a Daytona has been consistent in the collection since its launch in 1963. The current generation still sports the tachymeter bezel but it is now created in black scratchproof Cerachrom for durability. Add to this a scratch resistant sapphire crystal and an updated automatic calibre 4130 movement (giving extra shock resistance and a power reserve of 72hrs), and you have the most up-to-date version of a classic.
