In 1977 Rolex produced their in-house successor to the famous Quartz "Texan" watch. What they came up with was the Oysterquartz, the stylish, angular watch you see here. This watch has the most solid and profoundly built quartz movement ever made, finished to a standard not seen in many Swiss mechanicals. Production ceased in 2001, and prices have been rising year-on-year for the past decade, as collectors realise the rarity and horological speciality that the Oysterquartz encapsulates. Sold to the previous owner by a boutique in Finland, and supplied with earlier Rolex service history.
