A prime example of an early Rolex Datejust. Fitted with the original chamfered-edge dial with subtly scuptural hour chapter markers. The gently-tapered seconds hand, and sword-shaped hour and minute hands (with pre-tritium luminous fill to match those on the dial) are original and unusual to find intact in such an early watch. The white gold fluted bezel is also in lovely condition for its nearly 60 years. The movement is the earlier calibre 1565 (later models have the 1575), and is similarly clean and bright.
