We purchased this immaculate example from the original owner, who kept the watch in original condition, having purchased it from a Rolex authorised dealer in July 1983. 

The 40mm stainless steel case is thick with crisp chamfers, the correct MK IV thin font bezel attesting to its very little use over the years. The MK V matte dial is unblemished with beautifully even ivory patina across all the tritium lume & hands. Original 1983 year stamped 78360 Oyster bracelet, powered by Rolex's self-winding calibre 1570 movement. Presented with its Rolex box, translation booklet, 1983/1984 calendar card, and Rolex perforated guarantee certificate date July 1983.

With all the ups & downs associated with modern watches, rare vintage examples like this Explorer II have become even more important, especially when they are complete with Rolex box and papers.
