GMT-Master Root Beer
16753 - "Clint Eastwood"
With more personality than the sapphire glass version, the colours of this vintage two-tone GMT Root Beer are spectacular. The bronze nipple dial with gold text features perfect tritium luminous, the 24hr hand has oxidised to reveal a unique rainbow hue, and the original golden/brown fat font bezel insert has faded autumly. The case is thick and sharp with crisp bevelled edges, and the '62523' 18ct gold & steel Jubilee bracelet is original from new. Retailed in 1980 by Ernest Jones in the UK, this is one of the finest examples of a plexiglas ref. 16753 you will see.
Nicknamed the "Clint Eastwood", the steel & gold Root Beer was Eastwood's personal watch, first worn in 'Firefox' where he plays a Pilot, then it appeared again on the big screen several times including in the 1993 'In the Line of Fire' where he plays Frank Horrigan a secret service agent. Not sure whether his example has Rolex box & papers, but ours certainly has...
Accompanied with its Rolex box, old GMT blue arrow booklet, green wallet, both swing tags, and punched Rolex certificate. Waterproof to 100m, and guaranteed for two years. Go ahead, make your day...
