Rolex
Sea-Dweller Ghost Bezel
1665 - Double Red
This is why we love vintage!
Manufactured in 1976, this DRSD is blessed with a fat font ghost bezel insert, warm caramel patina to the untouched tritium dial; and to top things off, it's one of the few remaining Double-Reds to retain the original superdome Plexiglas.
One of the most important watches in the history of professional Rolex, the Double Red Sea-Dweller was developed and tested with French Maritime company COMEX (Compagnie maritime d'expertises) as a purpose built industrial version of the Submariner. It was fitted with a patented Helium escape valve for saturation diving, as with all special productions, serial numbers were also engraved inside the caseback (as shown in our photographs). In beautifully preserved condition, this Mark 4 example with distinctive typeface, was one of the final versions produced by Rolex with brick red "Sea-Dweller Submariner 2000" printing.
Oyster 93150 Fliplock bracelet with 585 flush fits, and powered by Rolex's self-winding calibre 1570, with hacking seconds. Under our two-year international warranty.
