There's nothing quite like a rare transitional Submariner, with its original Rolex box & papers to capture the attention of us enthusiasts, and this vintage Sub date ref. 16800 certainly does that. 

The 16800 introduced the quick-set function to the Submariner with their new automatic calibre 3035, and was one of the very first sports models to benefit from a sapphire crystal glass. Only in production for two years (1986-1988), this rare Sub Date features perfect creamy tritium patina across all three hands, matching white gold 'bicchierini' hour markers & the lume pearl at 12. When angled towards the light, the black dial displays a beautiful matte-esque patina. Fitted to its correct '93150' Oyster bracelet, powered by Rolex's self-winding calibre 3035, and waterproof to 300m.

Remarkably, it's presented complete with its inner/outer Rolex box, booklet, Submariner instructions, Rolex UK service history from 2021, and perforated Rolex certificate dated June 1986.
