Time-capsule Submariners like this are an incredibly rare find these days, and this important mile-stone in the Submariner's long history is certainly one for the collectors. Retailed by Watches of Switzerland in September 1976 and accompanied by its original Rolex certificate, Submariner 'breakers booklet', Oyster 'pearl' book and even its Rolex green wallet. An absolute treasure, this watch is from the very first year of production of this classic 'All White' colour scheme.

An excellent example of the Mark I dial featuring its original, beautifully aged, honey coloured, tritium hour markers and matt charcoal coloured dial, complementing the original patinated hands perfectly. The ref. 1680 Sub date (waterproof to 660ft) is equipped with an exquisitely domed plexiglas crystal, and powered by the tried and trusted Rolex cal. 1575 automatic movement.
