One of the best performing investment watches of the last 10 years, we've seen prices on all Anniversary model Submariner Dates climb rapidly, but consistantly since it was discontinued in early 2010. The most valuable, and by far the most collectable however, are the models sporting the early "Fat Four" bezel found in the late Y series and early F (for a more complete guide, look here) like this one with the more beautiful serifed font. Our watch, is in beautiful condition, having just returned from a full service at Rolex (with their 2 year warranty) and comes complete with the original certificate, box, booklets and tags. It looks like these will be knocking on the door of the £30k club within 5 years.
