Rare gilt dial, vintage Submariner 5513 from 1964. Gilt dial Subs are not only some of the most valuable of Rolex's famous dive tools, but, in our opinion are the most beautiful and most rewarding to collect. The glossy mirrored dials with their incredibly detailed gold coloured text and markers were the finest Rolex ever created and reveal a distinctive 2 level finish under a loupe. This example with its beautifully aged Tritium lume hands and markers (matched by the bezel pearl) was produced in the 3rd quarter of 1964 and would have been one of the first to feature the now signature, rounded shoulder crown guards.
