Tudor
Submariner "Gilt Open Track"
White Depth Rating
Rare example of a vintage Tudor Submariner ref. 7928 with super glossy black dial and gilt open minute track. Towards the end of 1966, the closed minute track around the dial's outer edge, was replaced by this open varient, and the graphics (including Tudor logo and depth rating) where progressively changed from silver to white. Our present example, with year of manufacture 'VI 66' engraved inside the caseback, is in remarkable original condition, with its correct bezel & rarely seen original lume plot at twelve, and 1966 'flat' mercedes hands with ivory coloured tritium luminous that perfectly match the lume plots. Powered by the self-winding 390 calibre, fitted to its extremely rare riveted expanding vintage Rolex Oyster bracelet, this '7928' is a rare opportunity to aquire such a superb and important example of an early Tudor Submariner.
