Vacheron Constantin
Historiques Triple Calendrier 1942
3110V - UK Retailed
We seldom have the opportunity to offer such an attractive complication, from one of the world's longest standing (founded 1755), and most respected watch houses. We were presented this Vacheron Constantin Triple Calendrier 1942 by its original owner. It immediately captivated us and we just had to have it! At the time of writing there are no other examples for sale in the UK.
Produced from 2017-2024 in a 40mm steel 'triple gadroon' case, this Historiques takes its inspiration from one of VC's earliest triple calendars (the 1940s reference 4240), when brands such as Rolex, Vacheron and LeCoultre competed to be the first to excel in the field of complicated wristwatches. This modern iteration harks back to the simple unfussy original, with day & month aperture displays in a clean blue sans-serif. The date tracks round the dial with a red arrow-tipped pointer, just within the discreet minute marks. Slightly recessed subsidiary seconds at 6 balance it all out. Turning the watch over, we are afforded the delights of Vacheron's phenomenal attention to detail through the exhibition caseback. VC's hand-wound caliber 4400 QC with 65-hour power–reserve ticks serenely within its Poinçon de Geneve livery. Waterproof to 30m.
UK-retailed in May 2022 at Harrods, presented in outstanding condition, and accompanied by its Vacheron Constantin box, new VC alligator strap with Maltese Cross pin buckle, its Vacheron Constantin international warranty card, and Harrods bill of sale.
