As elegant as it is bold, this Royal Eagle is one of Vacheron Constantin's original dalliances with the idea of a sports watch. The hefty polished steel curved case sits well on the wrist; its flared lugs echo the marque's venerable emblem, whilst the solid steel bracelet (in unblemished condition) terminates in a descreet hidden clasp. Self-winding chronograph with large date and sharply facetted and luminous hands make for very clear reading. A discreet '60' is a nod to this old Geneva firm's classic vintage models. We think Vacheron Constantin are exceptional value – the oldest Geneva firm with an extremely limited production; in more than ten years we've only had 93 Vacheron, one-tenth the number of Pateks that passed through our hands in the same period.
