Presented for Christmas in 1931, this elegant gold Cartier Santos is as beautiful as it is historic... Originally made when Cartier was the single most aspirational brand in the world, only accessible to the wealthy and influential members of society, this was an important gift. The last 86 years have been incredibly kind to this dress watch, the case is still in wonderful condition and the expertly engraved back still shows the dedication clearly. As is common for these very early wristwatches, the dial was restored at some point in its history (pre-water-proofing remember!) but does nothing to detract from its inescapable Cartier magic.
