Cartier
Tank Cintrée
18ct Yellow Gold
Cartier's early watch production was so niche that in some years the output of Tank watches never reached double figures. For example, in 1932 only 6 Tanks found their way into the world. True, some years saw a few hundred pieces being made, but whichever way you cut it, early examples of the Tank are astonishingly rare. Yet thankfully, this gracefully curved and discreet classic is still within reach for the discerning and In-the-Know lady. This example is from circa 1940, another single-digit year of production (8 Tanks produced). Appropriate to its era, the dial is signed Paris and there are hand-stamped numbers on the case-back. French-assayed 18ct gold is indicated by the presence on the case of original Eagle hallmarks, keeping their watchful gaze on the safe future of this beautiful vintage Cartier Tank Cintrée. Fitted to a new hand-made Cartier alligator strap and 18ct gold Cartier buckle.
