Franck Muller
Giga Tourbillon
8889 - Box & Certificate
6 years ago we sold an FP Journe complication for £33,000, the same watch today is worth half a million, so question is, will we be kicking ourselves in years to come for parting with this rare Franck Muller Giga Tourbillon for a fraction of its staggering £218,000 RRP?
When Muller first burst onto the scene in 1991, he rightly established himself as 'The Master of Complications', accomplishing 36 world firsts in watchmaking and an array of ground breaking patents. Considering his 2009 Aeternitas Mega 4, housed a world record 36 complications, compared to Patek's highly revered Grandmaster Chime with almost half as many, we feel these incredibly rare and innovative Muller complications will prove a very shrewd and considered purchase.
Manufactured in highly technical materials; lightweight titanium and bronze bearium, this Giga Tourbillon features the largest tourbillon ever seen in a wristwatch. Encompassing the lower half of the skeletonised dial, it houses a huge 20mm tourbillon with 'FM' detailing; whilst in the top half, are the large barrels, holding its 9-day power–reserve, to power this beast. Rotate the watch to see Franck Muller's attractive hand-wound calibre FM2100TS.
Presented with its wooden Franck Muller box, warranty certificate dated May 2022, under Franck Muller Special warranty to 2027.
