Franck Muller
Master Banker Lune
White Gold "Triple-Time"
One of the original "independents" of 20th century watchmaking, Franck Muller was rightly known as 'Master of Complications'; using an important antique calibre he famously produced a watch in 1992 that was one of the most complicated wristwatches ever made, this later being further modified by his fellow Swiss master watchmaker, Paul Gerber.
One of his specialities was adding useful complications to reliable contemporary calibres. This very rare solid 18ct white gold Master Banker 'Triple-Time' Lune is a perfect example of his skill in this genre. Two sub-dials can be set to the minute to show alternate time zones (including discreet blue & silver day-night indicators). The date and moon phase are shown below, while the black lacquered dial is textured with a subtle starburst guilloché.
The large 40mm stylish 'Cintree Curvex' case shape is a distinctive Franck Muller speciality. Self-winding Franck Muller calibre 2800 with platinum-edged rotor; the watch is supplied with its original alligator-effect box and matching portfolio with un-dated warranty certificate. Hand-made calf Franck Muller strap and white gold buckle. Two-year Watch Club warranty.
With only 3 others seen for sale in the world, this is a perfect opportunity to obtain one of Muller's specialities from when he was at the peak of his influence.
