An exceptional Daytona – this rare polymer bezel model was the first-ever Daytona released by Pro Hunter. But that's not all: only a handful (2 or 3) were produced with this red styling of the dial and bezel, all the rest had white/silver detailing.

Every type of Daytona is now generating simply phenomenal returns. Ceramic-bezel factory-spec models that we were trading for around £20,000 before the pandemic are now nearly unobtainable at £30,000. Unusual custom pieces like this with excellent provenance are uniquely desirable. This limited-edition art piece from the first owner has just been serviced by Pro Hunter.  

Before Pro Hunter, nobody had the courage to customise watches. Pro Hunter's development was beautifully organic. The first pieces were made by the watch collector Kamal Choraria for his associate Reza Rashidian, who wanted to give them to his outdoorsmen friends. It snowballed; the circle of friends quickly expanded to include chairmen of Swiss banks, philanthropists and film stars. Throughout, Pro Hunter stuck to their simple vision – improve the underlying watch in a style sympathetic to the vintage Rolex watches that were their inspiration. Only 100 of any kind are ever made.

This watch is absolutely complete with its box, manufacturer's original booklets and credit-card style warranty from 2008 (stamped by a Rolex agent in Singapore), and the equivalent from Pro Hunter. The case surface is converted to black by a nearly-scratchproof Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) process, as used in surgical instruments and aeronautics. Special polymer bezel with the tachymetric scale printed behind, like the vintage Daytona 6241 & 6263. Self-winding Rolex-made chronograph calibre 4130. Individually inscribed by Pro Hunter with the unique number out of 100.
