For the first time in a 41mm case, the Datejust II ref 116334 was a bold release by Rolex. The thicker case, broader bezel and lugs, with bigger hour markers, divided opinion, and this pioneering model was eventually retired by Rolex with the introduction of the slimmer ref. 126334.

The dark rhodium dial, is elegantly set by Rolex with 10 round diamonds; framed by the Datejust's iconic 18ct white gold Fluted bezel.
