Breitling
Navitimer Cosmonaute
Early 'AOPA' Dial
This super Navitimer Cosmonaute is among the very earliest ever made. The serial number of this piece indicates late 1962, which is the first year of Cosmonaute production. We have fully serviced this watch, but not polished it - originality of condition, even with imperfections, is increasingly the benchmark in today's market. Remarkably restrained, even the Breitling name is not present on the dial of this early Cosmo. The word "AOPA" is imprinted within the shield on the raised gilt wings, and "Navitimer" below. With prices rising, few collectors are releasing these highly-regarded watches out of their posession, and it has been years since we've had a Cosmonaute in stock. Previous independent UK service history. Two-year warranty from Watch Club.
