The watch was comissioned by a third party, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, as an instrument to help their members navigate. Only much later did Breitling begin to fully market the watch under their own name. This example is one of the first to carry Breitling's then-new stylised 'Twin Planes' logo. The sub-dials are of the early small type, their lacquer carrying a merest hint of beautiful champagne oxide, with the gloss black dial in similarly excellent condition. Original tritium hands, crisply-knurled bezel, and rose-gold plated movement in superb condition, this iconic 1960s watch is all set for another 50-year adventure!
