One of watch-makings most important historic chronograph models, the original 806 Navitimer set the template for modern technical pilots watches. Designed with the American Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the Navitimer combined a chronograph with slide-rule bezel in a package that was a wearble 41mm (unlike the oversized pilots watches by IWC, Longines and Minerva) yet highly legible. This example has aged beautifully, with its gilt glossy "AOPA only" dial showing no signs of wear other than a highly desirable patina on the lume that is matched by the hands.
