Sold just before Christmas 1966, the then-new owner Mr Thompson carefully preserved his treasured new Breitling Top Time with its original box and certificate (stamped by a jeweller near his home in Bridlington, Yorkshire). The dial, with its silver-printed 'B' Breitling logo and original tritium markings and hands has mellowed beautifully, as has the lightly-used one-piece ('monocoque') watch case. The movement is in similarly sharp condition, having enjoyed only a handful of services in its life. Vintage sports watches like this almost never appear anymore with original box and certificate, and the long-term value is always better with such provenance. This good-looking and decently-sized watch is fitted to a new strap, with vintage Breitling buckle, and is guaranteed by us for two years.
